The Office of Personnel Management is looking for a dynamic and energetic leader to join their Senior Executive Service (SES) Corps. The Senior Executive Service (SES) is comprised of the men and women charged with leading the continuing transformation of government. These leaders possess well-honed executive skills and share a broad perspective of government and a public service commitment which is grounded in the Constitution.
The Deputy Director of the National Background Investigations Bureau (NBIB) supports the Director of the NBIB in their role as the primary advisor to the Director, Office of Personnel Management (OPM) with respect to the policy and performance of background investigations throughout the Federal Government. Within that subject matter area, the NBIB Deputy Director will advise the Director of the NBIB on controversial and complex matters affecting the internal administration of NBIB's mission to perform background investigations, the achievement of NBIB's objectives, NBIB's relations with management of OPM, other agencies, employees of OPM and other agencies and the organizations that represent them, the Congress, top leadership of the Administration, and other important public and governmental groups.
