One position is available in the U.S. Personnel Management (OPM), Human Resources Solutions (HRS), HR Strategy & Evaluation Solutions (HRSES), Assessment and Evaluation Branch (AEB). As part of its mission, OPM provides technical assistance to Federal agencies to meet their most critical human capital challenges. HR Solutions is dedicated to providing exceptional human resources products and services to meet the dynamic human capital and training needs of the Federal government. HR Solutions offers reimbursable products and services by government for government. We are, therefore, uniquely positioned to help agencies meet their mission goals through customer-focused, optimal human capital management solutions.
The selectee will serve as an assessment expert and provide assessment support for the content management component of USA Hire. OPM's USA Hire is an online assessment platform that provides Federal agencies with cutting-edge assessments to identify top talent. The selectee also will work on other reimbursable projects as needed.
AEB has three sections: Selection and Promotion Assessment (SPA); Leadership and Workforce Development Assessment; and Organizational Assessment. The available position is in SPA.
SPA develops, validates, and administers cognitive and non-cognitive competency assessments for selection, promotion, and diagnostic purposes to include written and non-written tests, job knowledge tests, performance tests, and computer simulations. SPA also conducts job analyses and provides assessment training and support.
Areas of research and specialization are not limited to the above. All sections are responsible for conducting research and applying innovative assessment procedures and technologies and for providing technical assistance to departments and agencies in their areas of expertise.
