As an Administrative Student Trainee, you will perform the following duties with guidance from a senior Program Analyst:
Planning and Management: Develop work plans and work products that may include development of new or modified policies, procedures, regulations, goals or objectives; conduct cost, resource and staffing (work distribution among positions, organizations, staffing levels and mix) related analyses to support development of estimates activities associated with assignments; and collaborate with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
Analysis and Evaluation: Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of Program functions and operations; conduct periodic evaluations and studies of Program functions, operations, initiatives and business process areas; identify and recommend enhancements, changes or improvements in organization, staffing, approaches, work methods and procedures based on studies and evaluations; conduct surveys to determine compliance with regulations, procedures, and overall effectiveness of operations and business process areas and effective utilization of staff; and prepare analytical reports and presentations to apprise management, customers and stakeholders of trends and cause and affect relationships and impact on assigned work areas.
Advice and Guidance: Review, analyze and interpret proposed, new and established policies, directives, procedures and/or instructions, legislation and regulations to determine their impact on Program operations and associated business processes; advise/make recommendations based on analyses for continuous improvement ; conduct research/investigation on new/improved business and management practices for application; identify/recommend Program metrics to measure performance against established goals, objectives and requirements and reviews audit/investigative reports to determine appropriate changes or required corrective action(s).

Be available to begin work no earlier than the preferred start date of August 20, 2018. You must have at least 1 academic year remaining in your studies before completing your degree requirements. (NOTE: Academic year must include consecutive Fall and Spring semesters). You will be required to sign a Pathways Participant Agreement.

You will be expected to comply with Center Pathway policies located at:
1. Maintain at least a half-time course load as defined by your educational institution
2. Maintain a GPA of 2.9 or above on a 4.0 scale;
3. Adhere to an established work schedule;
4. Participate in Agency training classes or programs;
5. Successfully perform your assigned duties; and
6. Observe all workplace rules.
You will serve a trial period for the duration of the Intern appointment.
