You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
This is an Excepted Service position. This job is being filled by an alternative hiring process and is not in the competitive civil service.
Your resume, transcripts and responses to the assessment questionnaire are an integral part of the process for determining your generalized and specialized experience qualifications for the position. Experience and education that is not supported by your resume and/or supporting documentation may eliminate you from consideration and may result in non-referral. Your resume, transcripts, and assessment questionnaire must clearly and accurately show that you possess the experience and competencies to perform the duties of this position. Description of your experience and education should be clear and should emphasize your level of responsibility, scope and complexity of programs managed, program accomplishments with results of your actions, policy initiatives and level of contacts.
To determine if you are at least minimally qualified for these positions, a review of your resume, transcripts and any other supporting documentation will be made. The initial numeric rating you receive is based on your responses to the questionnaire and include any added points for veteran's preference (external candidates only) if applicable. The score is a self-assessment measure of the degree to which your background matches the competencies required of this position. If, after reviewing your resume, transcripts and supporting documentation (or anytime during the application process), a determination is made that you have inflated your qualifications and/or experience, your score may be adjusted to more accurately reflect your abilities. Please follow all instructions carefully. Errors or omissions may affect your rating.
Once an applicant has been determined to meet at least the minimum qualification requirements, a multiple hurdles approach system will be used as the method for selecting candidates. Under this system, applicants will be required to pass a hurdle (based on a determined cut off score) before moving on in the selection process. The process will include the following "hurdles": 1) Assessment Questionnaire (self-assessment); 2) Subject Matter Expert Panel review of the quality of your specialized experience as noted on your resume and supporting documentation and 3) Structured Panel Interview.
A Complete Application Package Includes ALL of the documents/forms listed below.
NOTE: Incomplete applications will not be considered. Failure to submit the required forms/documents as instructed in this announcement will not be a basis for subsequent appeal or grievance.

Second Notification: A review of applicant resumes and required supporting documentation will be made to ensure candidates meet the minimum basic qualification and eligibility requirements.
Third Notification: Applicants will be notified of their (referred/not referred) status when a list of candidates has been issued to the hiring official for further employment consideration.
