The Defense Acquisition University (DAU) is the recognized leader as a corporate university, advancing the use of technology in all areas of education. The DAU faculty and staff team to continuously improve the ways we help our students perform, by providing the right knowledge and skills at the point of need. This position, on DAU's Defense Systems Management College team is for a professor position in the International Acquisition Learning Center, responsible for learning offerings that span classroom and on-line courses, workshops, consulting, and online job aids and tools. You will help evolve instructional design and delivery of these programs for DOD international acquisition professionals. Collectively, these offerings develop International Acquisition and Exportability competence and drive the performance and results needed from workforce members to successfully plan and execute international defense acquisition programs.

As a member of the DSMC faculty, early in your tenure you will complete a portfolio of Faculty Performance Development courses on facilitating adult learning and development. Faculty are expected to also continuously refresh and expand their professional knowledge in appropriate functional areas.

Defense Systems Management College (DSMC) is responsible for a portfolio of executive acquisition, international acquisition, and requirements management learning assets and customer engagement and support efforts. DSMC develops and maintains classroom and on-line courses, continuous learning modules, and job aids and tools. DSMC promotes knowledge sharing through communities of practice, newsletters, and webinars. In addition to developing learning assets and curriculum materials, DSMC faculty consult with customers in their workplace and
provide timely and tailored workshops addressing functional and leadership topics.
As a Professor of International Acquisition within DSMC, you will leverage your acquisition leadership and apply your expertise to teach and facilitate learning and performance by members of the DOD acquisition workforce. The position requires expertise leading or supporting acquisition programs, especially programs with international elements, at all phases of the acquisition life cycle. Primary duties include:
