    The National Defense University is recruiting for an Academic Assistant (Assessment) for the College of International Security Affairs (CISA). The Academic Assistant (Assessment) will support the college's efforts to conduct accreditation, assessment, and outcome research-related activities under the supervision of the Director of Institutional Research/Assessment and the Associate Dean of Academics & Faculty.

    As one of NDU's five graduate institutions, the College of International Security Affairs (CISA) educates selected military officers, interagency civilians, and international students to function successfully in a dynamic and increasingly complex global security environment. CISA is the Department of Defense flagship for education and the building of partnership capacity in combating terrorism and irregular warfare at the strategic level.

    NDU develops joint warfighters and other national security leaders through rigorous academics, research and engagement to serve the common defense.

    This is a Title 10 Excepted Service Appointment. Appointment is not to exceed 3 years with the possibility for extension. Applications for this vacancy require a narrative assessment questionnaire to be completed by each applicant and uploaded as a separate document with submission. The required narrative questions are listed in the "How You Will Be Evaluated" section. Responses to the narrative questions must be completed and uploaded with the other specified required documents.

    Coordinates with CISA leadership and assessment personnel at other NDU colleges and components to recommend changes to policies and procedures and resolve questions and issues related to student assessment.

    Collects data to support reports for internal and external reviews to include the Middle States Accreditation and the Program for the Evaluation of Joint Education.

    Develops, monitors, and maintains the CISA Office of Institutional Research Intranet site.

    Responds to internal and external requests for information, assists NDU with data needs, and assists with and coordinates college survey activities.
