The program encompasses department-wide responsibility for activities relating to the Post-9/11 GI Bill (CH 33), the Montgomery GI Bill - Active Duty (MGIB), the Montgomery GI Bill - Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR), Veterans Education Assistance Program (VEAP), Survivors' and Dependents Educational Assistance Program (DEA), Work-Study Program and Tutorial Assistance Program.

The incumbent serves as the Senior Management and Program Analyst to the Deputy Director in Education Service. The incumbent is responsible for coordination of the program initiatives, projects, and policy activities relating to implementation of the Harry W. Colmery Veterans Educational Assistance Act. Duties include the following:
Performs analytical and evaluative work associated with program activities.
Serves as a senior consultant to the Deputy Director on the more complex and difficult issues associated with operations, policies, and programs as they relate to administrative operations, as well as, the delivery of Education benefits and services to Veterans.
Analyzes management techniques, processes, and styles for improving organizational effectiveness.
Evaluates, processes, or makes recommendations for effective organizational changes.
Analyzes and evaluates on a quantitative or qualitative basis, the effectiveness of programs or operations in meeting established goals and objectives.
Participates in all phases of organizational and management activities significant to Education Service.
Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goal, objectives, work plans, and work products and services.
Coordinates events, meetings, and presentations for the Deputy Director, including developing content for presentations, writing talking points, and gathering data.Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation, and communication of work-related information to the supervisor.
