As an Accountant Trainee, you will perform a variety of tasks and functions, which will require application of your formal education, supporting staff members and the organization in the accomplishment of their duties and mission. You will perform developmental assignments, under closer than normal supervision in the areas of accounting/auditing. The position is designed to provide you with practical work experience that augments your academic course of study.
The duties will include working with automated financial systems, assisting with reconciling general ledger accounts, utilizing Microsoft (MS) Excel to perform financial analysis; providing support to financial manager; working with obligations on various types of contract documents, developing analytical skills, familiarization of Oracle Federal Financial application and reporting capabilities. In addition, the trainee will learn to maintain electronic financial records, prepare periodic financial reports, assist with audit transactions, document findings and support financial staff in various duties assigned.
