This position is located in the Extremism Watch Desk of the South and Central Asia Division. The incumbent serves as a Multimedia Broadcaster responsible for shooting, editing, writing, reporting, producing, voicing and adapting Kurdish, Turkish and Arabic content for VOA's television, radio, Internet news and social media outlets.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
~Researches original Kurdish, Turkish and Arabic material, including scripts, segments, news reports and interviews and transcribes those reports into English for distribution to VOA and BBG entities for use in on-air programs.
~Serves as solo producer, reporter, videographer, writer and narrator of news and feature stories.
~Travels to various locations as assigned to cover stories. Handles audio, visual, lighting and all other technical elements while on assignment.
~Incorporates production elements into reports as appropriate, such as visual and audio elements, music, maps, graphics, bulleted highlights and web-related material.
~Works with producers in and out of the Watch Desk to secure content. Uses news feeds and the Internet to locate and research potential stories or reports. Requests and coordinates the preparation and encoding of multimedia enhancements.
~Coordinates program material of varying lengths, timing the program or program segments and storing the material on the appropriate archiving medium.
