    This is an interdisciplinary position and may be filled by a General Engineer (0801), Physics (1310), Operations Research (1515), Mathematics (1520), or Computer Scientist (1550) depending upon the qualifications of the candidate.

    Current or Former Federal employees possessing the required education and experience, as defined within the Qualifications section, may be found qualified without regard to their current or previous occupational series.

    You will serve as an Engineer/Scientist in the AEGIS Enterprise Assessment Division, Performance Assessment Department of Naval Surface Warfare Center Division Corona processing AEGIS Weapon System data.

    • You will process AEGIS Weapon System data utilizing tools such as PHOENIX, PHOENIX OA, PCTOOLBOX PET, DART, OUTLINE and additional software tools as developed.
    • You will perform scenario reconstruction, analyze data, evaluate system operational performance and identify/document system anomalies.
    • You will develop and execute a data management and analysis plan.
    • You will organize a collaborative analysis effort and work as a team with analysts from other elements and other organizations to document system anomalies that span multiple elements.

    Travel Required

    50% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position and may include overseas travel and shipboard travel with confined space and fall protection.
