About the Position:
This position is located at the Dalecarlia Water Treatment Plant, 5900 MacArthur Boulevard NW, Washington, DC. This position is under the supervision of the Washington Aqueduct. The Aqueduct, while part of the US Army Corps of Engineers, is a large scale, vital public utility, wholly financed through the sale of potable water. The job provides the opportunity to work at one of the largest water utilities in the nation, serving the public and producing a product which impacts the lives of all metropolitan area citizens and businesses on a daily basis. To be successful in this position, you will need to commit yourself to the Aqueduct's mission of providing safe, reliable and cost effective water.

You will serve as a Journeyman Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic. You will determine causes of mechanical operating problems, trace and locate defects and make repairs to heavy mobile equipment and vehicles. Major duties include:
