    About the Position: The incumbent will function as the Chief, Planning Branch, directing the work of employees involved in the planning activities associated with civil works projects. Projects typically include locks and dams, flood protection, recreation and environmental.

    This is an Interdisciplinary position that may be filled as a Superviosry Community Planner (0020), Supervisory Economist (0110), Supervisory Biologist (0401), Supervisory General Engineer (0801), Supervisory Civil Engineer (0810), Supervisory Mechanical Engineer (0830), Supervisory Electrical Engineer (0850), Supervisory Archaeologist (0193), or Supervisory Geologist (1350).

    • Exercises quality control over a variety of reports involving water resource projects.
    • Manages a staff and oversees select A/E contracts by preparing objectives and schedules, setting and adjusting short and long-range priorities, and ensuring conformance with policy and mission objectives.
    • Participates on corporate boards, prepare and participate for congressional visits, discussion of policy issues, and/or issues arising during the execution of planning programs.
    • Performs strategic outreach initiatives to promote mission objectives and the welfare of the organization.

    Travel Required

    25% or less - Business travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
