About the Position:
The mission of the AEC is to plan, support, conduct, and provide independent evaluations, assessments, and experiments in order to provide essential information to decision-makers.
ATEC uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $126,062 upon entry.
Acquisition Demonstration Project position: The NH-03 broadband incorporates former GS-12 step 1 through GS-13 step 10 grade levels and salary levels. Pay increase within the band will be accomplished through the Contribution-based Compensation and Appraisal System (CCAS). This position leads and facilitates AEC's test and evaluation efforts for systems within the Mounted Systems portfolio by performing duties as a Test Manager, Safety Evaluator, Performance Evaluator, and/or AST Chair. The (MSED) serves as the focal point within the (AEC) with overall management responsibility for developmental testing (DT) and system evaluations (effectiveness, suitability, survivability, and safety) of materiel systems and associated software in the following commodity areas: tactical wheeled vehicles; maneuver support vehicles such as route clearance, countermine, combat engineer/MHE, construction equipment, unmanned ground vehicle, bridging and Army watercraft; wheeled combat vehicles; platform specific add-on armor; future tracked fighting vehicle; large caliber ammunition; and Armored Brigade Combat Team vehicles such as tanks, tracked fighting vehicles, tracked combat support vehicles, tracked recovery vehicle, platform-specific add-on armor, main gun optics and platform specific munitions.
