A successful candidate in this position will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Insider Threat). The IT Specialist will serve as the point of contact for inquiries related to system assessment and security processes. Ensures that required security controls are implemented, working as intended and documented, and identifies unique threats to information systems. Ensures that all suspected cyber security incidents are investigated, analyzed, documented, and reported to the appropriate officials. Conducts cyber security reviews and tests to ensure that the cyber security features and controls are functioning and effective. Performs risk assessments to determine whether additional countermeasures beyond those identified in the System Security Plan are required and whether an identified unique local threat exists.
