America's Combat Logistics Support Agency: The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agency. DLA provides worldwide logistics support for the missions of the Military Departments and the Unified Combatant Commands under conditions of peace and war. It also provides logistics support to other DoD Components and certain Federal agencies, foreign governments, international organizations, and others as authorized.
As an Inventory Accountability Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:
-Performs worldwide, regional, and Defense Fuel Supply Point (DFSP) specific trend analysis and random sampling on areas related to fuel inventory accountability.
-Conducts in-depth analytical studies on the petroleum wholesale/retail supply chain covering capitalized Bulk and Ground fuel commodities.
-Develops and coordinates corrective action plans to resolve inventory accountability, weak controls and/or auditablility issues related to capitalized petroleum products worldwide.
-Provides data analysis for various reports, data requests from various sources, and develops and maintains metrics for review by higher-level management.
-Develops and ensures implementation of DLA Energy policies and procedures necessary to ensure timely and accurate petroleum account reconciliation, accountability, and auditability.
