As a Statistical Analyst, you will:
1. Design and implement statistical quality control procedures to validate criminal justice data originating from various sources.
2. Use research and statistical modeling to identify, interpret, and project trends in criminal justice field.
3. Lead the planning, design, and implementation of statistical sampling methodologies for survey distribution, establishing quotas and quarantine rules, to include implementation of survey non-response adjustments; weighting based on non-response.
4. Work collaboratively with colleagues in planning and implementing procedures to synthesize insights into actionable Agency improvement recommendations (e.g., through supporting the implementation and execution of validated statistical analyses, natural language processing, sentiment analytics, text analytics, and other advanced data analytics techniques).
5. Prepare analysis data sets, tables, listings, graphs, and statistical analyses.
6. Design initiatives where strategic use of information and data analytics will significantly enhance the performance of assigned projects.
7. Identify ways to analyze and draw conclusions from imperfect data sources while clearly articulating any assumptions.
8. Collaborate on interpretation and presentation of findings.
9. Support current processes, data management and reporting while also working to identify workflow/system improvements and implement continuous improvements.
10. Support cross-functional initiatives and internal/external customers at all levels.
11. Provide organizational support to project initiatives (preparing agendas, project plan, presentations and reports, coordinating meetings, maintaining records, etc.).
12. Prepare manuscripts for publication, technical reports or presentation, for statistical and non-statistical audiences.
13. Responsible for the statistical and data management work that is performed to validate PSA's externally reported performance measures.
