As a Senior Executive within the Department of the Navy Office of the General Counsel (DON OGC), the Deputy Counsel, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) serves as the alter ego to Counsel, NAVSEA, who is a special staff assistant and chief legal adviser to the Commander, NAVSEA. The Deputy Counsel, NAVSEA participates fully in planning, organizing, and directing the legal program for the Command. The NAVSEA Office of Counsel is the largest within the DON OGC with approximately 145 headquarters and field attorneys, including approximately 100 attorneys in 21 field offices throughout the United States.
