This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of the Secretary (OS), headquartered in Washington, DC. The Office of the Secretary is the delegated responsibility for all (HHS) programs that cover a wide spectrum of activities aimed at protecting and promoting the health and well-being of the American people. You will serve as Director of the Internal Management and Operations Division (IMOD), with a responsibility for a wide range of assignments and activities that require a strong knowledge of the Office of Human Resources organizational structure and the management of programs that function across HHS/OS.

The Director Internal Management and Operations Division performs the following duties:
Oversees OHR Organizational Change activities, including the provision of consultation on all proposed organizational changes, and the provision of management support for organizational actions such as creation of new organizations or restructuring of existing organizations.
Oversees the budget formulation process including developing annual, mid-year and capital improvement request from the HHS revolving fund for services.
Leads and oversees a broad range of activities involved in workforce management and in program planning and evaluation.
Directs an administrative, professional, and technical staff that delivers a wide range of services to OHR divisions, and also develops and implements operating policies and procedures in the service areas.
Participates with OHR divisions to identify opportunities for corporate recruitment. Researches method, techniques, and strategies not yet in use, including querying private enterprises to determine their best practices.
