    Responsibilities

    The VA Loma Linda Health Care System is seeking a Physician (Hospitalist). The VA Loma Linda Healthcare System is dedicated to providing state of the art care for our beneficiaries. The Hospitalist duties involve patient care on both non-teaching and teaching services. When attending on the teaching service, responsibilities include the supervision and teaching of internal medicine residents from our affiliate Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Experience with the management of telemetry patients in conjunction with consulting specialty services is required. Duties include, but are not limited to, admitting patients from the Emergency Department and from other locations, as well as handling direct admissions, providing all aspects of care for hospitalized patients in the Medicine Service, discharging patients from acute care to other levels of care within the Medical Center or home, and/or transferring patients to other units within the hospital.
