The SEC is seeking bright, innovative, results-oriented individuals for its Fall 2018 Student Honors Legal Program in our Washington, DC Home and Regional Offices. We offer law students robust responsibilities and experiences that enhance their legal careers. Over the course of at least ten week program, students work with Commission staff on projects particular to the specific Division or Office to which they are assigned. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in seminars/workshops; roundtable discussions, and a mentoring program that will provide detailed information and guidance on securities laws.
The Fall 2018 Student Honors Legal Program for law students will officially begin August 27, 2018 and conclude November 16, 2018.

Current students enrolled in accredited educational institutions from high school to graduate level. Includes internships, pathways and other student programs.

Individuals who have graduated from an accredited educational institute or certificate program within the last 2 years or 6 years for Veterans.
Law students will be assigned to work with SEC staff members on projects and assignments that cover a broad range of the Commissions' work. Work assignments may vary based on the Division or Office the student is assigned. Intern assignments range from supporting litigation to assisting with drafting new regulations to helping with reviews, exams or public outreach. Internship opportunities in the Fall are either full-time or part-time with an hours requirement of at least 15 hours per week. This is based off of the selectees school schedule and division/office needs. You will have the opportunity to discuss schedule, hours, etc. upon selection and acceptance into the program.
