The Office of Compliance (ADC) is a key component in DEA's efforts to implement enterprise risk management across the agency. The Office of Compliance (ADC) strengthens the DEA's ability to identify and manage risks within acceptable levels. The DEA's belief is that everyone in the agency has a role and responsibility in managing risk. From setting the tone at the top to incorporating integrity and core values into performance management systems and compensation, the DEA is building a compliance program that supports risk management best practices.
The incumbent will serve as the section chief over the Compliance Section within ADC. As a supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for helping to integrate compliance risk analysis and mitigation practices within DEA business processes, ensure non-retaliation policies are enforced for all employees reporting compliance concerns, maintaining communication with field divisions, and identifying and tracking compliance trends. The incumbent will also facilitate discussions among key stakeholders to assess the control environment and identify weaknesses as well as develop written analysis reports and mitigation plans. The incumbent will work with the Deputy Assistant Administrator of ADC to ensure that compliance risk management processes are in place by training and communicating risk management principles, establishing policy for compliance risk identification Administrator to develop strategies for the compliance program, identifying initiatives and measures for each fiscal year, assigning tasks, and monitoring the progress of each employee in the office towards the completion of tasks. The incumbent will advise on questions pertaining to compliance and risk management at DEA.
