Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.
About the Position:
Serves as a police officer at Redstone Arsenal, with primary responsibility for response to calls for service and enforcement for the installation. Additionally, performs law enforcement work in the protection of life, property, and the civil rights of citizens by maintaining law and order where the Government has jurisdiction. Ensures proper disposition of facts obtained from investigations conducted. Redstone Arsenal is a federal installation with a large resident population, has extensive housing facilities, and maintains very extensive security precautions due to the national defense nature of the U.S. Army's and other agency's programs situated here. The installation experiences an extremely high rate of human and vehicular traffic due to these programs. The serviced population consists of approximately 40,000 civilian, military, and contractor personnel.
This is an open continuous announcement. The initial cut-off date for referral is 28 FEB 2018 after this date additional referral lists will be created as vacancies are available.
