The purpose of this position is to provide senior level advice to the Chairman on management issues for all areas of the Commission; to be responsible for the budget, strategic planning, and performance accountability processes; to serve as the project manager for the electronic case management system; and to lead the various management committees and programs within the Commission.

As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will:
•Responsible for the preparation of the annual performance and accountability reports.
•Responsible for the effective operation of the electronic case management system and for the implementation of system enhancements.
•Provide overall leadership and direction in evaluating and reviewing the administration of Commission programs; improving programs, policies or procedures, and identifying where further administrative actions may be necessary.
•Prepare reports to Congress and the Office of Administration Management and Budget (OMB), and responds to inquiries.
•Responsible for the Commission’s budget process and the preparation and defense of the annual budget request to the OMB and the annual budget justification to the Congress
•Responsible for the Commission’s strategic planning and the preparation of the Commission’s strategic plan.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
