    The Miami VA Healthcare System is seeking a full-time cardiothoracic surgeon in the Operative Care/Surgical Service at the Miami VA Healthcare System. The incumbent is expected to have extensive experience in performing cardiac procedures, preferably including minimally invasive valve surgery and TAVR. Duties for this position will include teaching fellows, residents, and medical students. A strong commitment to academic pursuits and clinical or basic research is required; the incumbent's duties will be divided evenly between clinical work and research. Dedicated research time and support to obtain VA grants will be provided. Successful candidates must have credentials to qualify for faculty appointment in the Department of Surgery of the University Of Miami School Of Medicine. The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time VA appointment and, as a minimum, an adjunct faculty appointment at the Clinical Assistant Professor level with the University Of Miami School Of Medicine.
