The primary mission of this position is to develop and implement the regional recruiting plan for the Decennial pre-tests and Decennial Census.

This is a Term Appointment, initial appointment is not to exceed 2 years. This appointment may be extended 2 additional years at management’s discretion.
A trial period may be required.
A supervisory probationary period may be required.

This is a NON-BARGAINING unit position.
The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.
The individual selected for this position will:
- Develop a strategic recruitment plan for a Regional Census Center (RCC) and Area Census Offices (ACO) to ensure sufficient field and office personnel are hired to support Census operations.
- Provide administrative and technical supervision to staff in the RCC and ACO.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with community groups, business, faith-based organizations, media outlets, and regional, local, and tribal governments, to request their help promoting jobs and providing candidates for the regions ACOs.
- Identify hard-to-recruit areas and develop preliminary strategies to achieve a balanced applicant pool in those areas.
50% or less - Position requires frequent travel.
