The Information Technology and Communications Directorate is seeking to hire a senior information security analyst in the Cybersecurity Services & Integration Division (CSID) (Code 710). As a senior information security analyst you will develop and oversee the execution of the strategic threat analysis capability to protect the mission, science, engineering, and administrative work of the Center. You will lead or support working groups or teams to develop threat responses and mitigation plans where such teams frequently include other Agencies and NASA Centers.

As an Information Specialist (Security), you will protect NASA missions from impacts to information and information systems. You will have widespread influence to improve the resilience of science, engineering, operations, and administration activities. You will serve as a senior expert in the field of Information Security, provide authoritative advice and guidance related to the protection of NASA information and information system assets. Serve as a senior expert and consultant to management officials on effectively protecting information systems.
Serve as the recognized subject matter expert regarding strategic information security threats to NASA information and information systems. Influence the decision-making for large-scale programs and projects to proactively mitigate identified threats.
Manage and direct overall information security threat monitoring and analysis. Initiate, conduct, and synthesize research regarding these threats, including those from foreign entities, industrial espionage, criminal activities, and emerging technologies. Develop strategic analysis products to support the protection of NASA’s space and information assets, leading to tactical analysis and advice for mission operations personnel.
Leads the information security planning and implementation of complex integrated information systems across the full lifecycle. Apply principles and methods for cost-effective implementation and validation of interoperability, performance, and security of the system. Lead planning, market research, proposal evaluation, agreement monitoring, assessment, and problem resolution for such information systems.
Develops, implements, assesses, and tracks compliance of information security policy across multiple sub-discipline areas. Collaborates closely with system and mission managers to ensure specification, local guidance, and procurements appropriately include information security requirements, including in contracts and other formal inter-organization agreements.
