The Pain Management Physician will provide comprehensive medical and pain management care to Veterans seen at the Chalmers P. Wylie VA Ambulatory Care Center. Individual Procedure and duties performed will be consistent with selected provider's granted privileges and based upon individual training, qualifications, and experience. In addition to the performance of procedures consistent with privileges granted, the selected individual will be responsible for performing duties to include, but not limited to the following:
- Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures consistent with the patient's care plan.
- Provides care within the context of a multidisciplinary approach and documents services through appropriate notes.
- Provides clinical oversight to other Providers and Residents and participates in the education program.
- Participates in interdisciplinary team activities and works collaboratively with other services throughout VISN 10.
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with other practice area to ensure adequate and appropriate delivery of pain
- management services to Veterans through Pain committees and workgroups.
- Provides palliative and End-of-Life care.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
