    Direct Hiring Authority for Cyber Workforce Positions:

    These positions are being filled under Direct-Hire Authority for Cyber Workforce Positions. The Secretary of the Air Force has delegated authority by the Office of the Secretary of Defense to directly appoint qualified individuals directly into cyber workforce positions up to the GS-15 level (or equivalent) that are necessary to carry out the responsibilities of U.S. Cyber Command. These positions are located Air Force-Wide.

    Selections made under this announcement may be non-competitively converted to CYBER excepted service.

    Responsibilities

    1. Work closely with course managers and Subject Matter Experts (SME).
    2. The incumbent analyzes, designs and develops instructional materials for Cyberspace Operations.
    3. Develops, directs, coordinates and oversees cyber training and development of Joint Cyber Center personnel.
    4. Develops training plans for recurring and initial training requirements for assigned personnel.Plans and conducts validity and reliability studies and surveys of the Cyberspace Operations personnel.
    5. Establishes evaluation criteria, adapts/extends and guidelines, and procedures.
    6. Provides readiness continuity and expertise for implementation of joint policy and doctrine in readiness related issues.
