The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Health Care System (OKC HCS) is seeking a full-time staff physician to be a Gastroenterologist on Medical Service. The clinical practice will be divided between the OKC HCS and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The OKC HCS is a tertiary care facility serving Oklahoma and part of northern Texas and an integral part of the educational and research mission of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
The physician will participate in inpatient and outpatient quality care, teaching, and research related to Gastroenterology. He will apply national and VA guidelines to patient screening, surveillance and management of such diseases. He must be proficient in upper and lower endoscopic procedures including ERCP. He/she will participate in the education and supervision of trainees. Successful candidate would qualify for a faculty appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.
