    About the Position:
    The U.S. Army Communications Electronics, Research Development and Engineering Center, Intelligence and Information Warfare Directorate (CERDEC, I2WD) are dedicated to providing the U.S. Army effective intelligence and information warfare tools, guaranteeing our warfighters the technological edge in any future operation. We identify, develop, educate, tailor and insert emerging information technologies, which are transitioned into selected operational systems. Thus, guaranteeing America's Warfighter the superior integrated systems they need to enable and ensure Information Dominance.

    This position is covered under an alternative personnel system known as the DoD Science & Technology Demonstration Project. The Demonstration replaces GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. This position incorporates former GS grades 05 step 1 to GS-08 step 10 and may be filled at any of those equivalent grades within the pay band.

    NOTE: This is a term appointment NTE 5 YEARS and it may be extended up to total of 6 years. Contingent to specific conditions there may be an opportunity to be noncompetitively converted to a career-conditional or career appointment.

    Provides managerial assistance and program support. Assist Chiefs in gathering and compiling Division workload data. Receives, reviews, and analyzes a variety of routine data. Utilizes knowledge of office automation software to produce documents that require complex formats, i.e., graphics or tables with text, to edit/reformat electronic draft or to update and revise existing databases or spreadsheets. Maintains a variety of paper and automated files. Receives, disseminates, and maintains reports. Prepares charts, graphs, and similar products as needed. Drafts non-technical correspondence. Reviews correspondence prepared by others for content. Prepares time and attendance data. Makes travel arrangements. The skills of a fully qualified typist are required.
