Join the Fort Meade Child, Youth and School Services (CYSS) family as a Child/Youth Instructor. We are looking for a qualified and caring Guitar Instructors. These positions are located at the Schools of Knowledge, Inspiration, Exploration, and Skills (SKIES Unlimited). SKIES instructors provide individual/group instructional programming for children and youth in a variety of areas encouraging them to expand their knowledge and acquire new skills. The program provides access to opportunities that expand the participant's knowledge, inspire them, and encourages them to explore, and acquire new skills.

1. Serves as an Instructor in the CYS Instructional Program. Provides individual and/or group lessons to participants. Offers less structured activities for parents/children.
2. Develops individual and group lesson plans. Tracks participant's accomplishments, long and short term goals, effort, and evaluations as appropriate for age and type of instruction.
3. Acts to stimulate and encourage participant interest and to establish an environment that promotes positive child and youth interactions with other children, youth, and adults.
4. Prepares and implements program options for children and youth with special requirements Maintains control of and accounts for whereabouts and safety of program participants.
5. Completes designated training requirements and records completed training on own Individual Development Plan (IDP).
