This position has full supervisory responsibility for a large staff of non-supervisory personnel, including GS09 and GS11 Medical Technologists & Technicians and at least 1 subordinate team leader or supervisor at the next lower grade. This position recommends appointment, plans & assigns work, gives advice & counsel, and evaluates the work of subordinates. You will be responsible for monitoring test analysis & specimen examinations to ensure acceptable levels of performance. You will assure corrective actions are initiated when needed and ensure orientation, training& competency assessments of your assigned staff. You will develop and update technical policy and procedure manuals to ensure all staff and affiliate staff are in compliance with accrediting and regulating bodies. You adjust staffing levels or work procedure to accommodate resource allocation decisions made at the executive level.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
