This position will ensure all installation, repair, and construction is performed in accordance with the contract requirements and deal with any problems that may arise during the course of the construction.

Priority consideration will be given to military spouse preference and family member preference eligible residing in the commute area of the duty location for this position. Commute area is defined as the geographic area surrounding the duty location in which people can reasonably be expected to travel back and forth daily.
Military Spouses and Family Members may apply 30 days before their anticipated arrival date. However, they will not receive preference until arrival at the foreign location. Additional documentation may be required prior to granting preference.
Military spouses and family members who are appointed may not extend longer than 2 months following the transfer of the sponsor from the commuting area of the foreign duty station; 2 months beyond the separation of the appointee's sponsor; or any time beyond the time employee ceases to be a family member.
The successful selectee will perform the following duties:
- Perform as the Lead Construction Management Engineer with responsibility for acting as primary Government liaison with contractors and clients for assigned projects.
- Assist Project Management and Engineering Branch Head (PMEBH) in the tracking and assignment of workload based on work priorities, individual's technical abilities, and consideration of complexity while ensuring each individual is aware of the mission objectives and ensures workload and project responsibilities are specifically delegated and assigned to individuals.
- Assist PMEBH in the preparation of budgetary estimates and justifications to obtain program fiscal resources and properly justifies required staffing levels.
- Periodically review construction management process to ensure that the goals of NAVFAC FE, PWD Sasebo are consistently and uniformly met on all active contracts with respect to contractor submittal reviews, providing supplemental training as required.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
