    This position is located in the Office of Research and Development, National Health and Environmental Effects Research Laboratory, Gulf Ecology Division, Ecosystem Assessment Branch, in Gulf Breeze, FL.

    You will:

    - As a crew member or operator of small vessels, collect aquatic organisms, water, sediments and/or other environmental samples;

    - Prepare water, sediment, tissue or other environmental samples for laboratory analysis;

    - Analyze physical and chemical parameters in water, sediments, tissue and/or other matrices;

    - Perform data management and quality assurance through basic statistical analysis and/or data visualization using computer software.

    When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.
