This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-14 level. MAJOR DUTIES:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a 363 Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group Director of Operations and as a senior targeting authority with responsibilities to direct all targeting and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) activities within the 363d Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Group (ISRG) and associated Air Reserve Component (ARC) enterprise in support of worldwide Air Operations Center (AOC), Major Commands (MAJCOM) and joint/combined air-components.
Directs all targeting and geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) production and analysis activities within the 363d Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Group (ISRG) and associated Air Reserve Component (ARC) targeting enterprise.
Develops and presents ISR capabilities to a wide variety of service, national and coalition customers.
Serves as a senior adviser and primary consultant in the production and dissemination of multi-source target intelligence.
Plans, directs and oversees ISR operations.
Serves as a senior technical authority on ISR and targeting issues.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. This position is covered by the excepted service authorized by TITLE 10 I.S.C. Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), and as such will subject the incumbent to those examinations and/or tests that are necessary to retain and security clearance and any special accesses required by the position in accordance with AFI 36-1101. The employee must also sign a Statement of Understanding prior to occupying a DCIPS position.
2. Position is designated critical-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed. Some supported programs may require additional security check actions in order to qualify for clearances to use SPECIAL ACCESS PROGRAM (SAP) information.
3. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
4. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty (TDY) assignments.
5. An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is highly desirable.
6. Incumbent may be subject to psychological screening/polygraph testing as an inherent primary requirement of their position
7. KEY: This is a key position. Incumbent must be removed from any military recall status if alternatives are not available for filling this position during an emergency are not available.
