    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), The Office of Operations Coordination.

    The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an IT Project Manager to conduct work that involves the planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customer assistance and/or training, and customer advocacy in response to customer requirements.

    Responsibilities

    As a IT Project Manager GS 2210 12/13, your typical work assignments may include:

    • Conducts program management activities for oversight and advocacy of support for unclassified and classified telecommunications systems, unclassified/classified video conferencing systems, unique Local Area Network systems, and secure radio systems.
    • Designs or conducts analytical studies, cost-benefit analysis, or other research to establish requirements, formulate projects to meet gaps in requirements, develop, test and implement new technologies, and address and resolve critical Information Technology problems or issues.
    • Develops plans for the consolidation or integration of systems and other mission requirements into the overall organization enterprise, and addresses requirements, migration, communications, collaboration, and training activities with appropriate stakeholders including end users.
    • Obtains cooperation and support to resolve policy and information sharing program issues among stakeholders within and outside the department including other Federal organizations, state and local government officials, external groups, and key government and private sector individuals.
