    This National Guard position is for a AIRCRAFT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, Position Description Number D0610000 and is part of the AZ Army Aviation Support Facility 2, National Guard.

    NOTE: This position is subject to rotating or night shift work.
    NOTE: No known promotion potential
    NOTE: Must be a rated Army Aviator, Instructor Pilot or Standardization Pilot in the AH-64D, 152HF qualified
    NOTE: Applications must include a copy of the applicant's latest DA Form 759 (Flight Records Closeout)
    Individual selected will receive an Indefinite Appointment and may be converted to permanent based on availability of funds or position no longer being encumbered.

    NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

    Responsibilities

    AIRCRAFT FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR, GS-2181-13, this position is located in AASF #2, Marana, Arizona. The position is responsible for providing instruction, evaluation and examination of rated pilots, instructor pilots and aeroscout observers in flying techniques and methods of instruction, examination and evaluation in the AH-64D Apache helicopter. Instruction involves basic and advanced techniques for flying aircraft using flight controls and instruments.
