This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.

This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) with duties in the "Professional" work category and at the Entry/Developmental work level.
The organizational location of this position is: AFTAC, Materials Directorate (TMLR), Patrick AFB FL.
- Assists senior technicians in conduct of established radiochemistry procedures on samples with varying levels of radioactivity.
- Assists with performing chemical yielding techniques on samples to determine the fraction of radioactivity actually separated and passed forward for radioanalytical measurement.
- Records and documents all activities and processes, ensures that all chain-of-custody documentation and security requirements are met.
- Assists senior technicians in the mixing chemical reagents used for sample dissolution and processing into the appropriate molar concentration solutions so that only known quantities of chemicals will be introduced into the samples.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
