    The primary purpose of this position is: To plan and execute the protocol program for HQ 24th AF. Serves as protocol advisor to Commander and senior staff HQ 24th.

    • Host, plan and coordinate all 24th AF functions. Handles protocol requirements or community activities, including visits of local dignitaries to the AF and visits for the 24 AF Commander to local functions. Coordinates with senior military and civilian government officials, including Department or the Air Force, Department of Defense and other government agencies in planning visits for domestic and foreign officials. Task' and directs 24 AF organizational representatives in arranging for official visits, promotions, retirements and changes of command ceremonies officiated by the 24 AF Commander or Vice Commander.
    • Coordinates, consolidates and implements protocol policies and procedures into, integrated protocol program for HQ 24th AF. As required, provides advice and assistance to counterparts at subordinate levels. Designs, implements and publishes specific and special guidance based on pre-established goals within the requested time frame.
    • Performs AF Protocol training. Focus training on meeting 24 AF's complex protocol requirements. Leads the operational efforts of one Protocol Specialist.
    • Maintains the 24 AF Commander's contingency Funds for gift to be presented by the Commander, as well as Commander's Supplemental Moral and Welfare Fund.
