- Evaluating and Debugging code errors in applications during the testing processes during the software development lifecycle.

The position will also require some bending, stooping, lifting and carrying of luggage and other materials to and from and from and at the TDY site. Work is normally performed in an office building, office-like setting, or a conference center involving everyday risks or discomforts and which require normal safety precautions. The areas are adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. Safe work practices are exercised in moving around the office and using a variety of equipment. While on TDY to a warehouse or staging facility or an U.S. Navy ship, the incumbent may be exposed to temporary conditions with exposure to potentially harmful agents such as high level noise, fumes, dust, heat, cold, chemicals, and poor ventilation and the elements of weather such as rain, snow, etc. To ensure employee safety and health, there are personnel protective programs and practices in place that consistent with applicable laws and regulations. QualificationsIn order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing application software utilizing various programming languages such as JAVA, HTML, SQL, etc for system improvements & upgrade for command utilization. Customer service - Need to be able to work with team members, supervisors, customers to assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. The grade level will determine the level of complexity of problems they would assist in. Problem solving - Need to be able to solve technical issues. A lower grade person would work closely with a more senior team member. Oral communication - Need to be able to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, customers. Attention to detail - Being able to identify existing or potential issues requires an attention to detail because issues aren't always easily detected. Examples of experience: Such as detecting and reporting errors in application; Gathering customer specifications for programs; Improving the effectiveness of IT products; Utilization of programming languages such as Java or PL/SQL. Continued from Requirements: This position has been designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position in specialty area 62 and as a condition of employment incumbents of the position are required to comply with the DON Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of SECNAV M-5239.2, which include: 1. Earn and maintain appropriate credentials from the Cyber IT/CSWF Qualification Matrix (SECNAV M-5239.2) associated with the specialty area and level commensurate with the scope of major assigned duties for the position to which you are assigned, and; 2. Participate in a continuous learning program as described in SECNAVINST 1543.2. A minimum of 40 hours of Cyber IT/CSWF related continuous learning annually documented in a current individual development plan signed by both the employee and supervisor.
