The Junior Economist conducts comprehensive economic research studies and analyses involving technical and economic aspects and regulation of the telecommunications and media industries under the supervision of Senior Economists or Senior Managers. The incumbent learns to develop narrative, statistical, and/or graphical reports of research and analysis, including pertinent policy recommendations. The incumbent learns to provide technical advice on Commission rulemaking proceedings, including evaluation of the validity and significance of economic analyses submitted to the Commission. The incumbent may conduct microeconomic analyses of market structure under the guidance of Senior Economists.
