This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Office of Internal Controls in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for the review, monitoring and improvement of internal controls; internal control reviews of SBA programs, financial processes and systems to provide assurance that the agency is complying with laws, regulations, OMB circular guidance and with external audit and Office of Inspector General (OIG) findings and recommendations.

- Conduct internal control reviews (audits) of significant accounting cycles that directly impact the Agency's financial reporting in accordance with OMB Circular A-123 guidance, its appendices and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct assessments to identify significant risks and tests internal controls using validated sampling techniques.
- Make recommendations of corrective actions to program office management.
- Conduct improper payment reviews (audits) of processes identified as susceptible to improper payments within the Office of Chief Financial Officer.
