The incumbent will serve as a Senior Water Resources Planner in a Regional Integration Team (RIT) and as a member of the Planning Community of Practice (CoP) with responsibility for the coordination and management of Civil Works planning activities on most difficult and demanding water resources studies and projects for the assigned Major Subordinate Command (MSC). The incumbent will be responsible for addressing a wide variety of water resources issues which may require developing and evaluating the economic, social, environmental and engineering impacts of solutions to problems such as those involving flood risk management (both riverine and coastal), ecosystem restoration, navigation, water reallocation and other associated water resources purposes. The incumbent provides expert advice to agency field activities on all matters pertaining to the conduct of planning studies and the evaluation of benefits. The incumbent will serve as the MSC's facilitator for all its planning actions that are in Head Quarters United States Army Corps of Engineers (HQUSACE) for processing. The incumbent will develop and participate in briefings and other senior level meetings to articulate planning and policy issues affecting the water resources of the nation. The incumbent will work closely with other senior staff members of various engineering disciplines.
