    Wilmington VAMC serves Veterans throughout the State of Delaware, Southern New Jersey, Eastern Maryland and Southeastern Pennsylvania. Wilmington offers easy access to I-95 to cultural and recreational opportunities in Philadelphia, New York, Baltimore, MD and Washington, DC. Major league sports abound in Philadelphia, sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and swimming at Atlantic coast beaches are popular summer activities. Wintertime is ski time in the nearby Pocono Mountains.     MAJOR DUTIES: The incumbent serves as the Human Resources Officer for both the Lebanon VA Medical Center and the Wilmington VAMC. He/she will report to the Deputy Director of the Lebanon facility, as well as receive direction and advise the Wilmington VA facility leadership. The Lebanon VA is a level 2 complexity administration, and Wilmington VA level 3 complexity administration.

    The incumbent has delegated responsibility for the planning, direction, control, coordination, operation and evaluation of the facility's human resources management program of the scope, variety, and quality prescribed in VA policy and issuances from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management and other regulatory and advisories issues from other branches and regulatory agencies of the federal government having impact on the human resources management program. The incumbent formulates and recommends policies and establishes and implements human resources activities, techniques, and methods to ensure sound, meaningful, and practical human resources administration.

    Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
