The U.S. Army Research Laboratory is (ARL) is participating in an alternative personal system known as the Laboratory Personnel Demonstration Project (Demo). Among other features, the Demonstration Project replaces GS grade levels with occupational families and pay bands. The pay band DB-04 is equivalent to the GS-14, step 01 through GS-15, step 10.

You will serve as a Supervisor in the Human Research and Engineering Directorate of the U.S. Army Research Laboratory. You will serve as Branch Chief in one of the following Branches: Human and Intelligent Agent Integration Branch, Synergistic Human-Machine Interfaces Branch, Integrated Capability Enhancement Branch or Real-World Soldier Quantification Branch. You will be responsible for managing and directing worth that involves the research, development, and application of the methods and techniques of engineering and psychology to the understanding and the solution of human factors problems in operational and tactical situations for military systems, applications, and concepts. As a Supervisor you be will be responsible for leading personnel, supporting technical work and managing administrative aspects of a complex research program.
