    This position is located within the Indian Health Service, Crow/Northern Cheyenne Service Unit, Lodge Grass Health Center. The incumbent reports to the Supervisory Clinical Nurse, Director of Nursing. Selectee may be eligible for recruitment and relocation incentives, credit for annual leave, and/or loan repayment opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    Maintains accountability for the nursing program to assure adherence to ethical, legal, regulatory and professional standards. Assures nursing compliance to hospital/service unit, Area, Indian Health Service, federal and other (e.g. Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations/JCAHO) laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
    Provide direct supervision and effective leadership to assigned subordinates within the health center. Plan, set priorities, provide direction and maintain day to day responsibility of care, treatment and/or services provided.
    Provides leadership in health care management and quality patient care. Ensure compliance with established standards of care, and other regulatory requirements applicable to all patient care areas.
    Responsible to coordinate and develop nurse specific training to assist employees to improve and maintain competencies.
    Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements, performance improvement/quality assurance. etc.
    Provide direct patient care utilizing outpatient visit planning, including triage, and the nursing process as indicated.
