    Summary

    The selectee for this position will serve as a BIOLOGIST or ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER or PHYSICAL SCIENTIST or GEOLOGIST in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

    This is an interdisciplinary position which may be filled by any of the following series: Biologist (0401), Environmental Engineer (0819), Physical Scientist (1301), Geologist (1350).

    Responsibilities

    The successful selectee will perform the following duties:

    • Direct environmental program directors and associated staff in matters concerning environmental compliance and resource management.
    • Coordinate environmental program plans with staff to achieve and maintain environmental compliance of ongoing operations.
    • Monitor requests for funding to ensure the division's environmental mission is achieved within budget constraints.
    • Manage a workforce with varied areas of expertise to maximize personnel resources consistent with mission requirements.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Travel is dependent upon position description and availability of funding.
