This position is located in the office of Finance and Accounting, it reports directly to the Director, Division of Systems, Review and Procedures (DSRP).
The employee serves as the systems accountant and technical authority, utilizing professional knowledge and mastery of accounting theories, concepts, principles, standards, procedures and knowledge of IHS accounting and financial feeder systems in carrying out complex assignments.

- Supports the overall systems operating environment by working with senior DSRP and other OFA staff to provide guidance in the use of financial system modules, components, business processes and operations available within the financial systems environment.
- Provides customer support for tickets and requests submitted by end users needing assistance with system functionality, reporting, accounting treatment, guidance on financial accounting and business process issues, financial reporting, policy, laws and regulations, etc.
- Performs technical, functional and business process analysis for UFMS and other financial and financial feeder systems working directly with federal and contract resources to support system code changes, upgrades, patches, interfaces and system implementations.
- Performs research and analysis to ensure transactions are being properly recorded and in compliance with the appropriate federal laws, policies, procedures and regulations. Performs systems and business process analysis to identify specific areas of risk or potential violations of internal controls, inadequate audit trails, violation of security requirements or other accounting and system regulations.
