These National Guard positions are for seven WG-08/10 AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIANS, Position Description Number D0475000 in SPMD 4740 and is part of the MO TASMG Shop.
WHO MAY APPLY: All qualified Missouri traditional guard members and those eligible for enlistment, appointment or transfer into the Missouri Army National Guard.
APPOINTMENT FACTORS: These positions are Temporary Reimbursable vacancies NTE One Year in the Excepted Service. Employment can be terminated at any time. These positions can be filled up to four years as long as funds are available to support them. In the event a permanent (Tenure 1 or 2) employee is selected, and is willing to accept the temporary appointment, that employee will relinquish permanent status. Under a temporary appointment, the employment is subject to termination at any time. These are bargaining unit positions.

Functionally tests, troubleshoots, inspects, adjusts, aligns, calibrates, repairs and overhauls the entire range of aircraft electrical systems to ensure maximum operating efficiency. This includes general, major and limited depot maintenance on Army fixed and/or rotor wing aircraft. Selects, operates, maintains and repairs specialized electrical measuring and shop equipment. Solves unusual maintenance problems by studying layout drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematics. Performs such travel as may be required in the accomplishment of assigned duties and the organizational mission. May assist authorized firefighting in the performance of fire/crash rescue duties. Performs other duties as assigned.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: ENLISTED
Since these positions are temporary in nature, the compatibility requirements will be waived for a period of time not to exceed one year. Selecting official must verify that selected individual is currently assigned to a military unit in the Missouri National Guard and that the selection does not create grade inversion.
Technicians will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).
IMPORTANT NOTES: Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances are not authorized for these positions. Required Security Clearance is Noncritical Sensitive.
Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.
