About the Position:
This position is with the US Army Tank-Automotive & Armament CM, ILSC, Soldier & Chem/Bio R &S Dir, Weapons PSID located in Warren, MI. The ILSC is responsible for sustaining war fighting readiness and managing a large part of the Armys investment in war fighting capacity as integrators of nearly 3,000 weapon systems that form the core of the Army war fighting capability. TACOM generates, provides and sustains mobility, lethality, and survivability for soldiers, other U.S. Army services, and our allies, all to ensure Army readiness today, tomorrow, and beyond. TACOMs military and civilian associates find and implement technology and logistics solutions for the soldier. From tank-automotive and armaments weapon systems research and development through retirement, TACOMs associates provide cradle-to-grave support to Americas armed forces. The soldier is truly the focus of everything we do.

Serves as a member on various Integrated Product Teams (IPT) as the functional proponent for logistics-related operations, performance, and reporting requirements.
Guides the teams in the development and implementation of logistics supportability, identifying and highlighting the long-term logistical implementations and focusing on mitigating the effects of supportability issues.
Ensures supportability by influencing the design (for developmental programs) or redesign (for O & S cost reduction) of assigned systems used worldwide. Duties require knowledge and understanding of the interrelated chain of activities involved in Logistics Support of systems throughout their cycle.
Is knowledgeable of various functional areas; i.e., procurement, production, supply, maintenance, quality assurance, etc. and their impact on effective logistics.
